Background
Camp East Montana is an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility, located at Fort Bliss in the U.S. state of Texas, that opened in August 2025. The camp is a tent encampment, reported to be run by a company called Acquisition Logistics LLC, with a contract value of around $1.2 billion. The facility has a planned capacity of up to 5,000 detainees. The ACLU has described it as the largest internment facility in the United States.
