Josef ValÄÃk (pronounced [ËjozÉv ËvalÌ©tÊiËk]; 2 November 1914 â 18 June 1942) was a Czech army officer and member of the Resistance in German-occupied Czechoslovakia. He took part in the firefight during the aftermath of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich by Jozef GabÄÃk and Jan KubiÅ¡, code named Operation Anthropoid.
