Лимит наполнения — 550 человек, включая участок КП на 40 мест. Вид режима: ЛИУ для осуждённых мужчин, больных алкоголизмом и наркоманией. Образовано в 1944 году в Ленинском районе Великолукской области как инвалидная ИТК-3 на базе кавалерийского полка. В 1957 года переименована в ИТК-8 и переведена в Андреапольский район. В 1974 году перепрофилирована для содержания и принудительного лечения осуждённых, больных наркоманией .
