Лимит наполнения: 1535 человек, включая участок КП на 25 мест. Вид режима: строгий для ранее не отбывавших лишение свободы. Образована в 1937 году как Калининская ИТК. С 1938 года — ИТК-1. В 1941 году ликвидирована, вновь открыта в 1942 году на базе Калининского завода резиновой подошвы . В 1947 году переформирована в отдельный лагпункт № 101. С 1951 года — ИТК-1 общего режима. В 1957 году переведена в посёлок Большие Перемерки. В 2006 году реорганизована в колонию строгого режима .
