Walther Wüst (7 May 1901 â 21 March 1993) was a German Indologist who served as Rector of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) from 1941 to 1945. He was an Oberführer in the SS and served as the President of the Ahnenerbe during the Nazi era.
