Ruth Klüger (30 October 1931 â 6 October 2020) was Professor Emerita of German Studies at the University of California, Irvine and a Holocaust survivor. She was the author of the bestseller Weiter leben: Eine Jugendâ (English translation by the author: Still Alive: A Holocaust Girlhood Remembered) about her childhood in Vienna and in Nazi concentration camps.
