Arthur Dietzsch (2 October 1901–26 August 1974) was a German former soldier, political prisoner and concentration camp survivor.

Biography

Arthur Dietzsch (2 October 1901–26 August 1974) was a German former soldier, political prisoner and concentration camp survivor. From 1942–1945, Dietzsch was a kapo (German: Funktionshäftling) and inmate nurse (German: Häftlingspfleger) during the typhus experiments of Erwin Ding-Schuler at Buchenwald concentration camp. In August 1947, Dietzsch was convinced at the Buchenwald trial and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. Dietzsch's sentence was overturned in December 1950, after which he attempted to be recognised as a political prisoner.
