About

Moscow SIZO-1, known as Matrosskaya Tyshina, a Federal Penitentiary Service pre-trial detention centre in Moscow. Named in CCL's October 2022 analytical report on places of forced detention of Ukrainian civilians in the Russian Federation. The facility was noted as one of the Moscow detention centres reported to be overcrowded following the full-scale invasion, with some overcrowding attributed to the influx of Ukrainian detainees held separately from Russian nationals.
