About

Basement of the Mariupol Drama Theatre used as an improvised detention site by Russian forces following their capture of the theatre in March 2022. Centre for Civil Liberties documented testimonies from individuals held in the basement following the building's destruction. A separate site from the assault-era civilian shelter: this refers to detention after Russian forces controlled the building.
